Men who wear shoe sizes 13–18 often fall outside the range covered by ordinary store-bought socks. Samson keeps sizing simple with two extended men’s sizes: XL for shoe sizes 13–15 and XXL for shoe sizes 16–18.

XL vs XXL: which Samson size do you need?

Samson XL is designed for US men’s shoe sizes 13–15, an approximate foot length of 11.7–12.4 in (29.7–31.4 cm). Samson XXL is designed for US men’s shoe sizes 16–18, an approximate foot length of 12.5–13.2 in (31.8–33.5 cm).

Why should you check the shoe-size range?

XL and XXL labels can vary between brands. The letter on the package is only useful when it is paired with an actual shoe-size range. A sock labeled XL might stop at size 14, 15 or 16 depending on the brand. We compared 11 brands' published ranges in XL and XXL sock sizes by brand.
